Well, you’ve done it! You’ve successfully installed the best personal publishing tool on the Internet. You’re ready to start sharing your thoughts and ideas with the world. Since this is the purpose of WordPress, it’s time to get to work sharing your words with others. It’s time to start writing.

There is no right or wrong order to writing a post in WordPress, but we’ll start from the top and give you the step-by-step details for filling in each of the blanks on the Write Post panel. Typically, the basic mode is the default for writing new posts, but that can be changed with the When starting a post option in the Writing Options SubPanel of the Options Administration Panel. We will take you first through the basic post screen and then the advanced.
